Paul LaRosa Senior Managing Director - Capital Markets
Mr. LaRosa has more than 19 years of experience in the securities industry serving in senior management positions in Equity Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management and Equity Trading. Throughout his career, Mr. LaRosa was responsible for managing the placement of more than 250 public and private offerings totaling more than $4 billion. Prior to Maxim Group, Mr. LaRosa was an integral force in several areas of the Private Client Group of Investec Ernst & Company, an international specialist bank headquartered in South Africa and the UK. Here he served as the Director of Asset Management, the Syndicate Manager and the Research Supervisory Analyst. Mr. LaRosa graduated from Drew University with a BA in Chemistry.

Barry Sloane Chairman and Chief Executive Officer - Newtek Business Services, Inc. (NasdaqCM: NEWT)
Prior to joining Newtek Business Services, Mr. Sloane was a Managing Director of Smith Barney, Inc. where he directed the Commercial and Residential Real Estate Securitization Unit and, prior to that, he was national sales manager for institutional mortgage- and asset-backed securities sales. Mr. Sloane was founder and President of Aegis Capital Markets, a consumer loan origination and securitization business. Additionally, he was Senior Vice President of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, where he was responsible for directing sales of mortgage-backed securities and was a senior mortgage security salesperson and trader for Bear Stearns, L.F. Rothschild, E.F. Hutton and Paine Webber.
