Tom Landstreet founded Standard Research Corporation, publisher of "Connecting the Dots," an economic/investment research service exclusively serving the institutional investment community. Using a unique supply-side framework pioneered by Arthur Laffer, Tom and his staff analyze global government economic policies to determine how such policies affect asset prices.
Tom also co-founded TELL-TALE Capital Corp., a Registered Investment Advisor, in 2009. Tell-tale invests in publicly traded stocks globally. Tell-Tale manages two distinct strategies - growth and income. Marrying economic analysis with stock picking, Tell-tale seeks to provide investors with superior returns.
As a speaker and writer, Tom shares his wit and wisdom on politics, investments and economic policy at corporate and investment conferences around the country. Tom exposes the laughingly predictable economic policies behind many of the great economic booms and busts of history.
From 2006 to 2010, Tom produced a popular weekly economic commentary for Laffer Associates, an economic research firm founded by Dr. Arthur Laffer. Tom applied the supply-side framework to analyzing economies and published numerous papers on emerging markets and other topics.
Tom is a noted stock picker. From 2003 to 2006 Tom was Managing Director, Head of Institutional Sales, with Avondale Partners. In 2005, The Wall Street Journal recognized Avondale for producing the single best stock-picking record among all Wall Street firms.
Prior to joining Avondale, Tom spent 8 years in institutional equity sales at the Robinson Humphrey Co. Tom was an Institutional Investor All American broker in 2002 and 2003.
Perhaps most importantly, Tom performed stand-up comedy at "Catch a Rising Star" and other leading New York comedy clubs in the late 1980's and early 1990's. While many find little to laugh at regarding the current economic situation, Tom expresses a refreshingly contrary view.
Tom majored in English Literature at Auburn University and attended Balliol College, Oxford University. He is married with three children and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, one of nine states with no income tax.
