Sanford Diday - Executive Vice President, Interim Director of Equity Research
Prior to joining RedChip Companies, Mr. Diday served as a Regional Manager for the acclaimed national franchise Geeks on Call America, Inc. ®. As a Regional manager, Mr. Diday advised franchisees on operational effectiveness and efficiencies, and managed the build-out and operational success for more than ninety franchises nationwide. In addition, he drafted, updated, and implemented strong operational business plans and effective sales training programs both for new franchise owners and for franchisees looking to expand their business. His experience includes more than fifteen years in the development of operations, sales, marketing, and media departments. Mr. Diday earned a bachelors degree in Political Science from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as a Minor, and other course work, in Philosophy and Religion.
After joining RedChip Companies, Mr. Diday rapidly established himself as a leader among the management team as the Managing Director. He quickly advanced to the position of Executive Vice President where he has been active in developing and successfully implementing RedChip's renewed and burgeoning conference enterprise. Further, Mr. Diday has overseen the sales, marketing, and IT operations departments, and has been instrumental in helping the company meet and exceed both previous and new performance levels throughout the company.
Mr. Diday enjoys reading history, philosophy, religion, and business and personal excellence literature. In addition, he enjoys golf, soccer, football, and lifting weights. He is also an avid wine collector who enjoys viticulture.
Jason (Zesen) Chen, Ph.D. - President of RedChip China
Dr. Chen was the pioneer that introduced commercial Internet technology to China in 1994-1995. He co-founded the first Chinese Internet company GC Information to integrate telecommunication and Internet services. In 2000, Dr. Chen co-founded the financial service solution company Northern Star to introduce financial engineering technology to China. Dr. Chen also worked at Northern Jiaotong University and Shanxi province central planning committee. In the U.S., Dr. Chen served as a senior scientist for AT&T labs, Associate director for SBC business marketing and other positions in the hi-tech industry and in academia. Dr. Chen invented over twenty U.S. patents across telecom, networking, and multimedia industries. Dr. Chen holds his Ph.D in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA), MS from Northern Jiao-Tong University (Beijing) and B.S from the University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei).
Ashish Mittal, MBA - Assistant Director of Equity Research
Ashish leads RedChip’s U.S. research operations and focuses on client services and technology integration. Previously, he was CIO for Thomson Financial BankWatch’s global operations where his responsibilities included overseeing the development and production of research-based data products. Ashish is also the founder of ASPService LLC, a firm that provides strategy-specific fund management applications to hedge funds. He holds an MBA from Columbia as well as a BS and MS in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Matthew Kantrowitz, MBA - Assistant Director of Equity Research
Matthew Kantrowitz began his finance career as a Junior Research Associate at a full service brokerage firm in New Jersey. In 2000, Matt relocated to the Southeast and earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance. Matt owned and operated a private retail business in Orlando, Florida, before earning his MBA from the University of Central Florida. Matt is preparing to enter the CFA program with a focus on the technology sector.

Andre Garnet, MS, MBA, DBA - RedChip Senior Biotech Analyst
Andre has 30 years of experience as a research analyst specializing in biotechnology and healthcare. He began his career at McKinsey & Co. as a consulting associate while attending the Harvard School of Business. He then headed the M&A group at W.R. Grace & Co., where his responsibilities included the identification and acquisition of companies in emerging industries. In 1989, he served as a Stock Analyst for Value Line, Inc., where he followed and evaluated equities in industries such as semiconductors, oil, oil field services, coal/alternate energy, steel, retail and restaurant industries. In 1990, Andre served as a research analyst for Prudential Securities, specializing in biotechnology. He then served as Senior Healthcare Analyst at Southcoast Capital Corporation, where his biotech equity research built a large following amongst institutional investors. Andre was the Vice President of A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc., between 1993 and 1996, where he conducted research as a Senior Biotechnology Analyst, successfully launching coverage of this industry during one of its down cycles. His stock picks attracted a large following amongst institutional and retail investors where he tied for first place in biotechnology in a quarterly ranking of brokerage firms performed by the Wall Street Journal. At Ladenburg, Thalmann & Co., he was responsible for coverage of healthcare and biotechnology companies where his stock picks achieved highest price appreciation in the industry and generated excellent returns for institutional clients. Andre holds a Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University de Liege in Belgium and an MBA in Finance from Pace University in New York, New York. In addition, he was a DBA candidate in International Business from the Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.
Gaurav Aggarwal, MBA - Research Analyst
Gaurav earned his Master in Business Administration with specialization in finance and has four years of industry experience in valuations and equity research. He has written research reports on small- and mid- cap companies mostly in the media, hospitality and alternative energy sectors, covering both qualitative and quantitative aspects.
Suman Preet Kaur, MBS - Research Analyst
Suman holds a Master of Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing. Suman has four years of combined experience in equity and credit research. She has researched and written reports on small- and mid-cap companies operating in sector including biotechnology, healthcare and media.
Neha Bhargava, MBA - Research Analyst
Neha has three years of combined experience in equity and credit research and holds an MBA in finance. She has researched and analyzed mid- and small-cap stocks and has written research reports covering industry sectors including computer services, healthcare, and specialty chemicals.

Richa Kalia, MA - Research Analyst
Richa has five years in equity research covering mostly small- and mid-cap U.S. companies. She also has a strong background is covering mid-cap companies in India. Vivek Srivastava, MBA - Research Analyst
Vivek has over twelve years experience in fixed-income research, focusing on both U.S. and Asian companies. Previously, he was Associate Director at Fitch Ratings, focusing on Southeast Asian banks, and a senior analyst at Thomson Financial BankWatch. Vivek also has extensive experience in industry and equity research focusing on small- and mid-cap stocks primarily in the manufacturing and services sectors. James Altenbach, CFA - Research Analyst
James possesses over thirteen years of sales, financial advisory, institutional relationship, research, and general management expertise, working for research firms such as H.C. Wainwright & Co. Economics, Altimus Capital, and First Allied Securities. His research focuses on companies in the E-Commerce, Video Game Publishing, Telecommunications, Wireless, and Internet Security sectors. Paul Rapa MBA - Research Analyst
Paul Rapa has 19 years of experience working as a research analyst specializing in equities and commodities. He began his career as a Stock Analyst for Value Line, Inc. where he analyzed and evaluated equities in industries such as health care, software & the restaurant industry. He went on to do research analysis for Dean Witter & JP Morgan and then went on to Sumitomo Corporation where he was a financial analyst who specialized in gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper and aluminum. He is currently specializing in Oil & Natural Gas. Paul holds a B.B.A in Marketing from Baruch College and a M.B.A degree in Finance from Manhattan College.
Surya Gautam, MBA - Research Analyst
Surya is new as a financial analyst and still within his first year. However, Mr. Gautam has an extensive background within the telecommunications, electronics, and high-technology industries. He has over ten years of experience as a troubleshooting, operations, and design engineer for various telecommunication companies. He earned his BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Madras in 1992. In 2007, Surya obtained an MBA from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland.
Ajay Mohan, MFM - Research Analyst
Ajay has over three years of industry experience in equity and industry research. He has written research reports on Software, Biotech, and Power sectors covering both qualitative and quantitative aspects as well as small and mid-cap companies in these sectors. Ajay holds a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Operations and a Masters Degree in Financial Management.
Harry Russell, MBA - Research Analyst
Harry Russell has over ten years experience investing in small capitalization companies. For the last four years he has been a consultant to various hedge funds on PIPE transactions in life sciences and technology companies. Prior to this, Mr. Russell was Senior Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager for the Palladin Group, a New Jersey-based hedge fund. At the Palladin Group, Mr. Russell was responsible for all life sciences investments made by a group of hedge funds with peak assets in excess of $800 million. Mr. Russell was responsible for private placement transactions, hedging strategies, and equity and credit analyses for all Palladin strategies. In his tenure, the Palladin Group made over $100 million in life sciences PIPE transactions and had over $250 million of total life sciences peak exposure. Mr. Russell holds an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic University.
