RedChip Companies, Inc. is a well-established source of research and information on the small-cap market. RedChip's analysts seek out up-and-coming and undiscovered small-cap companies before they show up on Wall Street's radar screen.

Independent Research

RedChip Criteria

RedChip's long history of success includes research coverage on Starbucks, Nike, MarketWatch.com, Winnebago, and many other large-cap companies while they were still relatively unknown among Wall Street professionals.

Mass Appeal: Guarantees that the investment in a new product or service will be rewarded by a large market opportunity.

Growing Sales: Provides visible proof of the market’s acceptance of the Company’s product offerings.

The rating combines our projection of the stock’s performance, our assessment of the company’s financial strength, our confidence in management, and our confidence in our forecast. Why Invest in Small-Caps?

“Working in the small-cap markets does not carry the glory and honor associated with Blue Chips, the major leagues of the capital markets. Small-caps are laden with the injured, the weak, and the dying remnants of companies that went public too early with the wrong management, the wrong financing, and the wrong business model. And just as the best and brightest “pros” at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns, and other White Shoe top-tier firms have been fooled and trapped by the pronouncements, the projections, the greed and mismanagement of Ivy League CEO’s, we who live and breathe small-caps witness more than our fair share of plundered companies and plummeting stocks,” stated Dave Gentry, President and CEO of RedChip Companies in his monthly blog on Small-Cap Stocks.

Outperform

Still, small-cap stocks have continued to outperform the overall market for many years. With the recent declines in the market, now is a great time to take advantage of compressed valuation rates for small- and micro-cap stocks. Due to the vast amounts of information available via the internet, individual investors have a larger impact on the market today than ever before. RedChip Independent, a division of RedChip Companies, Inc., is uniquely positioned to provide value in the small-cap market. Our analysts rigorously screen small-cap ideas and provide in-depth analysis of the companies that pass the test for performance, growth potential and financial fitness. Often, RedChip follows companies that have no other equity research due to Wall Street’s single-minded focus on large-cap corporations and its pursuit of investment banking opportunities.

Advancement

The RedChip Independent Index was designed to give investors a benchmark of the research team’s best ideas for the coming year. At year-end 2007, the Russell 2000 was down 1.57%, the S&P 500 was up 5.49%, the RedChip Independent Index advanced 7.58%. The best performer in 2007 was LKQ Corporation (NasdaqGS: LKQX), which climbed 87.34% in the 12 months ended December 31, 2007.

Discovery

RedChip’s approach to finding great little companies is doing the homework. There is no substitute for knowing the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Our stock picks are based on a rigorous set of financial and ownership criteria, face-to-face questioning of management and frequent personal visits to manufacturing plants, retail outlets and company headquarters.

Our Platform - The RedChip Approach

Our platform of information consists of not only research, but daily RedChip Radio™ broadcasts, Small-Cap Investor Conferences featuring promising small-cap companies, and frequent virtual conferences that spotlight small companies in specific industries.

Why invest in Small-Caps now? Most investors aren’t able to stomach the ups and downs of the small-cap market. Small-cap stocks contain considerable risk; however, factoring them in as a small portion of your portfolio may grant a substantial payoff.

Companies such as Nike and Starbucks (to name a few of our early picks) all started as small companies. Our #1 goal is to find them before they’re industry giants. Individual investors have an advantage in purchasing small-cap stocks by having the opportunity to “get in” before the institutions do. Small-cap companies have huge growth potential. It’s easier to double the sales of a company generating $50 million per year than it is to double the sales of a billion dollar company. Small-cap companies typically are undervalued and undiscovered keeping the price of their stock from being either bid up too high or knocked down to low. They are able to react to the ever-changing market. Most owners are also managers who run the daily ins and outs of their enterprise. They are constantly looking for ways to increase their wealth potential and in turn increase the value of the stock.

Given time and patience, an investment in most of our companies under coverage has the potential to generate significant returns. We can help boost the value of your portfolio over time. We believe that investing is a long-term commitment. When we select small-cap stocks for inclusion in our index, it’s not because we think they have the potential for a short-term trade. It’s because we think they have all the elements in place to grow dramatically for a number of years.
