BURLINGTON, Massachusetts, June 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Attunity Ltd. (NASDAQ: ATTU), a leading provider of information availability software solutions, announced today a new cloud solution, Attunity CloudBeam for Azure SQL Data Warehouse. The solution enables automated and optimized data loading from many enterprise databases into the Azure SQL Data Warehouse quickly, easily and affordably. Now available in the Azure Marketplace, Attunity CloudBeam offers Azure customers several SaaS licensing options and is released in tandem with the first public preview of Microsoft's new cloud data warehouse service.

"We expect Azure SQL Data Warehouse to appeal to a large market of organizations who need an enterprise-grade elastic data warehouse that can start small, and grow with them," said Tiffany Wissner, Senior Director of Data Platform Marketing, Microsoft. "We're excited to collaborate with Attunity, delivering a valuable complementary solution that enables customers to efficiently move their data into Azure SQL Data Warehouse."

Data warehousing has long been a critical enabler for business intelligence and growth, used by many enterprises to enable Big Data analytics. The Azure SQL Data Warehouse brings to market an innovative cloud-based solution that can reduce the total costs of owning and operating a data warehouse, facilitate growth as data volumes grow, and deliver faster time to value. While organizations look to capitalize on these potential benefits, they face the challenge of moving large amounts of data from their on-premises data centers into the cloud-based Azure SQL Data Warehouse. Attunity CloudBeam facilitates this process, using high-performance database replication and high-speed data transfer technologies, supporting many source databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase and more.

"We are thrilled to expand our collaboration with Microsoft with this new offering for the Azure SQL Data Warehouse, which is uniquely designed to simplify and accelerate data loading from enterprise databases, making it easier for customers to adopt the new Microsoft data warehouse service and derive competitive advantages from Big Data analytics," said Itamar Ankorion, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Strategy at Attunity. "With this new solution we continue to build our leadership in the cloud and Big Data markets, offering competitive and valuable solutions to the leading cloud vendors and their fast growing customer base."

"A growing number of organizations are moving various parts of their operations to the cloud and must migrate their mission-critical data to SaaS applications from their existing systems in a timely and cost-effective fashion," said Jeffrey M. Kaplan, Managing Director of THINKstrategies and Founder of the Cloud Computing Showplace. "Many of these organizations have relied on SQL data warehouses and will benefit from this collaboration between Microsoft and Attunity that enables them to move their 'Big Data' more easily to the Azure cloud environment and gain a quicker time to value."
