Dave Gentry, M.A. RedChip Companies President and CEO
Dave Gentry received his Masters of Education from the University of Florida in 1993. He cofounded the First Amendment Coalition, an independent, nonprofit, collegiate-based student organization, in 1994 and received national and international attention for his work in defending free-speech rights on college campuses. His work with the First Amendment Coalition has been written about in the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, the London Times, and several other publications. He is a published writer and has appeared on numerous radio talk shows, including The Voice of America and the Kamber O'Leary Report.
In 1996, he earned the Republican nomination for the 5th district of Florida in a run for the U.S. House of Representatives. Though he did not win the general election, he used his experience to further his career in public relations. In 2005, he purchased RedChip Companies and integrated it into his existing investor relations firm. RedChip offers the most comprehensive platform of products and services available today in the small-cap sector. Under his leadership, RedChip was ranked by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. RedChip now has offices in Beijing, Singapore and Seoul.
Dave Gentry has served as a consultant to hundreds of public companies and has assisted five China companies in going public in the U.S. He has also assisted dozens of public companies in raising hundreds of millions of dollars over the past ten years. As president and CEO of RedChip, he has personally rung the NASDAQ bell for two opening bell ceremonies and one closing bell ceremony.
Mr. Gentry is a frequent speaker at small-cap investor conferences and a leading authority in the financial relations small-cap equities market, with a particular focus on Asia-based companies. He has been interviewed by CNBC on multiple occasions and has also appeared on Fox Business News. He has been a presenter at the New York Society of Security Analysts and a featured speaker for American Television in China (ATC).
Jon Cunningham Vice President and Director of IR
Prior to joining RedChip Companies, Mr. Cunningham was a registered investment advisor for the Principal Financial Group and held series 7, 52, 63, and 65 licenses, as well as life and health insurance licenses. Prior to joining Principal, Mr. Cunningham was a stockbroker for Olde Discount Corporation. Earlier in his career Mr. Cunningham managed the Midwest Division of Quality Assurance for Amtrak in Chicago. In his spare time, he enjoys running.
Gary Eelman Director of Research
Mr. Eelman brings more than 25 years of financial services experience to RedChip. Prior to joining RedChip, he worked with CITIC Securities International, a subsidiary of the largest securities firm by market value in mainland China, as the Director of its newly established International Equity Sales Department in Hong Kong. He has also served as Director, head of Equity Sales for Deutsche Bank’s Asia-Pacific mid-market division based in Singapore, where he established its Asia-Pac mid-market equities desk and worked closely with its Global Market Centers in Mumbai and Singapore. Mr. Eelman’s experience encompasses more than 20 years as a New York Stock Exchange floor trader servicing fund managers and NYSE member firms. He holds NASD Series 7 and 63 licenses in the U.S., as well as equivalent licenses in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Paul Resnik, CFA Equity Research Consultant
Mr. Resnik is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Registered Supervisory Analyst with over 40 years of research and management experience. Prior to joining RedChip, he served as Chief Market Strategist and Supervisory Analyst at Olympia Capital Markets Group. Previously, he was Director of Research and Supervisory Analyst at Dutton Associates. He has also served as Senior Vice President at Smith Barney. At its predecessor firm, Shearson Lehman Brothers, Mr. Resnik advised equity research analysts as a member of the Lehman Brothers Equity Research Department Investment Policy Committee. He was Director of Equity Research Marketing at E.F. Hutton and has also served in research capacities at Paine Webber and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Resnik graduated from Hobart College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a member of the CFA Institute.
Mike Bowdoin Vice President of Sales
Prior to joining RedChip in 2010, Mr. Bowdoin was active in project financing through roles at two boutique lending firms. He previously worked for five years as the Vice President of Sales for an executive recruiting firm in the mortgage banking sector. Prior to that, he served seven years in various capacities at an investor relations firm, including four years as Vice President of Sales and two years as Director of Investor Relations. Mr. Bowdoin previously held several accounting positions, including accounting manager, finance manager and controller, in multiple industries. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and his fifth-year CPA requirements from Florida Southern College.
Paul Kuntz Communications Director
Mr. Kuntz brings over 15 years of investor relations experience to RedChip. Prior to joining RedChip, Mr. Kuntz served as Managing Director of Lead Summit Advisers, a boutique management consulting firm, where he directed the development and implementation of comprehensive financial communication programs for emerging growth companies in various sectors. He previously served as operations manager for Clear Beverage Corp., a start-up children’s beverage manufacturer, where he was primarily involved in the capital-raising process for the company’s first two rounds of financing. Prior to that, Mr. Kuntz was Vice President of SAC Financial Services, a Las Vegas-based investor relations firm, where he developed communication strategies for a large roster of NASDAQ, NYSE Amex, and OTC companies. Mr. Kuntz attended Pennsylvania State University.
Tiger Tong China Director
Mr. Tong has comprehensive expertise in international business law and transactions. Prior to joining RedChip, Mr. Tong worked at the Chaoyang District Court and the Fengtai District Legal Assistance Center in Beijing. He previously served as a legal assistant in the Law Department of the Capital University of Economics and Business. Mr. Tong holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Business Law from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor of Laws in Economic Law from the Capital University of Economics and Business.
John Welch IT Director
Prior to joining RedChip, Mr. Welch developed applications for a $5 billion/year mortgage banker and was a programmer with the Ohio state software development team for Ohio schools' accounting systems. In addition to his experience in the IT field, Mr. Welch held engineering positions in the plastic injection molding industry, included co-founding Spectrum Design Group Inc., a full-service engineering design firm. Mr. Welch joined RedChip Companies in September 2007, and he oversees all IT and computer operations of the company and maintains its corporate website: RedChip.com. Mr. Welch earned his B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana and has completed extensive course work in software development.
Gary McKenzie Host RedChip Radio
Mr. McKenzie started developing an interest in radio as a boy, helping his father build and operate the family radio station WJRM in Troy, North Carolina. His experience in the media industry ranges from setting up recording studios in Hollywood for Frank Sinatra, The Mamas and Papas, and The Beach Boys to news anchor positions on most of the major radio networks and now host of a daily network financial talk program.
Gary's radio experience includes executive positions at top-rated stations in New York, hometown Los Angeles, and Miami. He has founded two business radio stations in Washington, D.C., was morning anchor at RKO, America's first satellite delivered radio network and also sat in the anchor chair at CBS, NBC, and Mutual networks. He now hosts RedChip Small-Cap Radio on our New York and Phoenix radio networks.
Jim Mcdougall, MSRE Marketing Director
Mr. Jim McDougall received his master's degree in Real Estate at the University of Florida and his B.A. in History from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. Prior to joining RedChip Companies, Inc., Jim McDougall worked as an Investment Sales Analyst for NAI Realvest in Orlando, FL.
JP Yoo Managing Director RedChip Korea
Mr. Yoo began his finance career as a research analyst in the Private Client and Wealth Management Department of Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. (NYSE: OPY) He specialized in all matters related to publicly traded companies on the NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX, with a focus on creating unique customized solutions for executives and directors of publicly traded companies in both the United States and overseas.
Then Mr. Yoo later relocated to Korea to take an offer to work as a money manager in the treasury department of Hyundai LCD.
In 2007 Mr. Yoo co-founded Vitamin Depot in Korea where he managed the company's corporate finances as its CFO.
He earned a B.A in Finance from Baruch College at The City University of New York.
Kevin Choi Marketing Specialist
Prior to joining RedChip, Mr. Choi served as CEO of Good & I Investment Management and C & Rich Holdings. Previously, he held senior management positions at KTRD Co., Samsung Capital, and Samsung JP Morgan Investment & Trust Management. Mr. Choi holds an M.A. and a B.A. in International Economics from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul.
OkSoo Park Managing Director of RedChip Korea
Mr. Park began his professional career as a reporter for ChonNam newspaper in Korea, where he spent over 10 years there. During that time, he was very politically active in the State of Chonranamdo. He served the State of Chonranamdo as a special advisor and as a member of the Elective Assembly. After his career as a reporter, he started working in the construction and real estate industry in Korea. Mr. Park worked very closely with the State of Chonranamdo and many major construction and development companies on various high-profile projects in the region. His major focus was on important municipal projects, and he was heavily involved in municipal finance and development aspects. He has served as a director of various major construction companies and real estate development companies in Korea.
Mr. Park earned a degree in Oriental Medicine and currently has a license to practice.
